Full Time Therapist / Support Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate full time Therapist to support an 18 year old male with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD. The young adult is currently attending school and this may be his final year. He has very limited verbal communication and requires consistent, structured support across daily living, learning, and social development.
This role is suited to someone patient, flexible, and genuinely comfortable working in a domestic and family environment.
Location: Mirdiff, Dubai
Typical working hours: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with 2 hour break.
- Flexibility with timings is required depending on the needs and daily schedule.
- There will always be ample rest time provided during the shift.
- Availability is required in the mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
- One guaranteed day off per week.
- Vacation schedules may vary, however days off will always be maintained.
Start Date: Approximately one month, earlier or later start can be considered for the right candidate.
Salary: 7,000 AED ( open for discussion depending on experience and qualifications)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one to one therapeutic and daily support within the home environment.
- Assist with all aspects of personal care and hygiene for the young adult.
- Follow structured programmes designed by the BCBA.
- Implement training and guidance provided by the BCBA and other professionals.
- Support learning and teaching activities at home.
- Accompany the individual to activities and outings when required.
- Encourage independence while maintaining safety, consistency, and routine.
Social Development Support:
- Encourage and promote age appropriate socialisation.
- .Support and help arrange social interactions with cousins and peers
- Assist in developing social engagement opportunities, as the individual does not currently attend playdates or external group activities.
Behaviour Support:
- The individual does not present aggressive behaviors.
- Behavioural challenges are rare and may occur approximately once every six months, typically when frustration arises.
- The therapist must remain calm and apply learned behaviour strategies when required.
Candidate requirements:
- Proven experience working with individuals with Special Educational Needs.
- Essential experience supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD.
- ABA training is not required but is considered an advantage.
- Willingness to work closely with a BCBA, follow professional guidance, and implement therapeutic practices as directed.
- Open to training, feedback, and continuous professional development.
- Preferably male
- Comfortable working within a domestic and family setting.
- Confident, respectful, and appropriate when providing personal care and hygiene support
- Flexible with working hours and living arrangements.
- Proficient in spoken English.
- Willing to work under a visa sponsored by the family.
Living and Housing requirements:
- The family prefers a live in arrangement.
- Accommodation is provided in a shared room with another staff member.
- A live out option may be considered if the candidate is able to drive and does not rely on public transport, due to flexibility required around working hours.
- If living in, the family is comfortable with the candidate staying out on their day off.
