Role Overview
Orbit Care Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and experienced Individual Learning Support Assistant to support a 4 year old child at Willow Nursery in Umm Suqeim, following the British EYFS curriculum.
This is a parent hired position requiring a committed professional who will provide consistent one to one support throughout the nursery day and during holiday camps. The child presents with developmental delay and mild Autism Spectrum Disorder, and requires structured, nurturing, and consistent guidance to support learning, communication, and social development.
The successful candidate must hold ABA certification and have demonstrable experience implementing Applied Behaviour Analysis strategies within early years settings.
This role requires close collaboration with nursery practitioners, SEN coordinators, therapists, and parents to ensure a unified and consistent approach.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide dedicated one to one support throughout the nursery day
• Implement and follow structured ABA programmes
• Support communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
• Assist with engagement across the British EYFS framework areas of learning
• Adapt classroom activities to meet developmental needs
• Promote independence in routines and self care
• Support positive behaviour strategies consistently
• Maintain daily progress notes and communicate effectively with parents
• Work collaboratively with nursery staff and external professionals
• Ensure safeguarding and wellbeing at all times
• Provide continued support during nursery holiday camps
Candidate Requirements
• ABA certification is essential
• Experience supporting children with ASD and developmental delay
• Strong understanding of the British EYFS curriculum
• Experience in nursery or early years settings preferred
• Calm, patient, and structured approach
• Strong communication and reporting skills
• Ability to work consistently within a team and follow professional guidance
• Enhanced DBS or UAE police clearance
