ILSA- Parent contract - Mirdif American School (Grade 1)

Location: Mirdiff American School

Start Date: Immediate hire

Contract Duration: From now until the end of the academic year

Salary: 4,500 AED per month

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Working Hours: 7:00 am to 2:00 pm, Friday early finish

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to support a Grade 1 child on a parent funded contract at Mirdiff American School. The successful candidate will provide academic and behavioural support throughout the school day and work closely with the class teacher and inclusion team.

* Provide one to one classroom support for a Grade 1 student

* Support the child academically in literacy, numeracy, and classroom tasks

* Assist in developing English skills, both academically and conversationally

* Encourage classroom participation and build confidence

* Support the child in managing stubborn behaviours in a positive and structured manner

* Implement strategies recommended by the inclusion department

* Attend school provided training sessions and workshops

* Stay once per week for approximately 30 minutes for inclusion catch up meetings

* Must have own visa

* Must be fluent in English, speaking, reading, and writing, academically and conversationally

* Experience supporting children who are academically behind

* Experience supporting behavioural needs, particularly confidence building and emotional regulation

* Experience with the American curriculum preferred

* Experience with ABA strategies preferred

* Patient, proactive, nurturing, and professional

* Strong communication and teamwork skills
